A city conference centre has boosted its exhibition sales team.
Amy King (pictured left) has joined Exhibition Centre Liverpool (ECL) from Manchester Central as exhibition sales manager, while Jennifer Jensen (right), moves over from corporate and agency sales at ACC Liverpool, to take the role of exhibition sales account manager.
The £666m development is due to open in September and will become the only purpose-built interconnected arena, convention and exhibition centre in Europe.
The complex includes a four-star Pullman hotel, with space for hosting conferences and meetings.
In its first year of operation, the ACC Liverpool management expects ECL to host 50 events and attract more than 250,000 visitors.
Contracted conferences at the new venue include RenewableUK, due to take place in October.
ACC Liverpool recently announced its highest ever annual turnover of £15.4m, compared to just over £14.7m for the previous year, for figures based on audited accounts for the year ended March 31 2014.
King said: “To be involved in ECL’s opening year provides a tremendous opportunity to promote Liverpool as a new destination for consumer and trade exhibitions and to secure interesting events.”Jensen said: “While stand-alone exhibitions are a relatively new market for us, we have been exploring the sector for some time. We are looking forward to working closely with organisers to make sure every exhibition in our new venue is a success”.
The new exhibition team will join the Liverpool delegation at International Confex on 18-19 February, stand CF19.
