As the temperature cools down, the Atlantic City Convention Center will be heating up this week. The facility will welcome more than 12,000 attendees over three events including the 23rd Annual Garden State Council SHRM Conference, the 32nd Annual Autism NJ Conference, and the Atlantic City Classic Car Show this week.

Local Atlantic City businesses are expected to gain an exceptional increase in activity this week. The estimated total economic impact during the week is expected to be more than $2 million dollars. Additionally, convention center visitors will also be occupying more than 930 hotel rooms throughout the week. 

The convention center will begin the busy week by hosting more than 650 Human Resources professionals for the 23rd Annual Garden State Council SHRM Conference which will kick off on October 20 and conclude October 21. These professionals will have the opportunity to network and learn about what it takes to “be an HR Super Hero” for their organization. In addition, The 32nd Annual Autism Conference will move in on October 23 for a two-day conference. More than 1,000 families and professionals are expected to take part in this inspirational and educational event. Attendees will be presented with workshops on diverse topics from treatment and educational strategies to understanding state systems and research presented by leading experts. 

To wrap up the week, more than 10,000 car enthusiasts will zoom into the convention center for the Atlantic City Classic Car Show which will take place on October 24 through October 25. The convention center will be the host of the largest indoor classic car auction in the country as more than 1,000 cars will be available for sale during this event.
