Event Begins Tuesday, January 20, with Outdoor Demo Day

What:

The 62nd PGA Merchandise Show, the world’s most comprehensive golf business event, will host more than 40,000 PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders from around the world, January 20-23, to preview the latest products and services of more than 1,000 top golf vendors and brands within the West Building of the Orange County Convention Center. (Not open to the public)

Daily Highlights:

Tuesday, Jan. 20 – Outdoor Demo Day – Orange County National Golf Center. The PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day features more than 100 golf equipment, training aids, performance wear and golf accessory companies within 200+ hitting bays, practice greens and the vendor village of the 42-acre practice facility of Orange County National Golf Center.

Grand Opening, 8:30 am, Wednesday – Two-time Masters Champion Bubba Watson joins PGA of America President Derek Sprague for the official grand opening of the 62nd PGA Merchandise Show. The Grand Opening ceremony will be broadcast live by Golf Channel from the OCCC West Grand Lobby.

Olympic Golf Forum – 10:00 a.m. , An update on the sport’s return to the 2016 Summer Olympics featuring Peter Dawson, Gill Hanse, Suzann Pettersen, Graeme McDowell, Ty Votaw and Amy Alcott

Shot Making with Bubba Watson presented by PING, 1:30 p.m., PGA Forum Stage

COBRA PUMA Golf Athletes & CEO Take the PGA Forum Stage, 3:30 p.m., Wednesday

Fashion Shows, daily at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Indoor Demo Days – 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. – more than 250,000 golf balls are hit at Indoor Demo Days while testing the newest products not yet on the market

Product Awards – Best golf inventions will be recognized by the United Inventors Association on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.; top 3 new products of the PGA Show New Product Zone will be announced on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.

The PGA Merchandise Show first came to the Orange County Convention Center in 1985. In 2015, the show is expected to provide an estimated economic impact of $81 million to Orange County!

Who:

The PGA Show is a trade-only event that is NOT open to the public. Media are welcome to provide an exclusive inside look to golfers and interested viewers.

Regional Media:

The PGA Merchandise Show offers a limited number of convenient parking for regional media. A section of west parking lot D will be designated for media parking. To access this area you will need to print the attached parking pass for the parking attendant. Additionally, a media drop off area is available at the south end of the west building marked media ONLY. Local TV news programs are welcome to broadcast live from the PGA Merchandise Show. PGA Show organizers are able to assist with exhibitor product and company spokespersons for any live/taped shots. Please contact Gwen Wilson for satellite truck access.
