CYE reports its city-by-city analysis shows growth in enquiries for London venues at 25.4 per cent, Liverpool 47.8 per cent, Manchester 37.7 per cent, Birmingham 33.7 per cent, Glasgow 31.7 per cent, Newcastle 31 per cent and Leeds 27 per cent.
CYE also reported that, on New Year’s Eve alone, 2014, its sites received 22,000 searches by people looking to see in 2015 in style - 7,000 more than for New Year’s Eve in 2013.
The percentage rises in city searches on CYE, the company attributes not so much to a booming market, but as a result of its ongoing strategy to improve the user experience.
Ben Gray (pictured), CYE Group, MD says his team’s efforts to create a better customer experience have led to the upturn in event organiser use of the sites. “Because Google loves sites that people love to use, it ranks CYE pages higher, which means venues and events listed on our site receive more traffic straight from Google,” Gray adds.
