Being held for the third time in the last 6 years the Green Meetings and Events Conference – February 9-10 at Kap Europa in Frankfurt – promises to again be a top-notch gathering for green meetings and events.

Kicking off the 2015 conference will be Martin Powell, Head of Urban Development at Siemens AG, who is responsible for The Crystal sustainability center in London – one of the greenest buildings in the world.  In his address, Powell will share his visionary ideas for sustainable urban planning in the future.

Wrapping up the two day program will be German actor and environmental activist Hannes Jaenicke. He will deliver the closing keynote “Power of the Purse” on how consumers can change their behavior and incorporate organic, fair-trade and recycled products into their daily lives.

The overall program will offer a multitude of concurrent sessions on sustainable venue architecture and management, green catering, earth-friendly mobility and more. Speakers will come from corporate, academic and meeting industry circles creating a rich interdisciplinary exchange of information.

The conference will also include an exhibition portion to give participants the opportunity to learn about the newest sustainability services and products, an evening reception to encourage additional networking, and the awards ceremony for the Meeting Experts Green Awards, recognizing excellence in sustainable meetings.
