International Confex has announced a partnership with North Wales Tourism. The agreement will see the destination add to an already extensive range of premium venues and regions represented at the show next year.

“Our visitors are constantly looking for new ideas and new perspectives from destinations, as well as completely new ideas for places they can take their events, and North Wales is a gem that has so much to offer to them. We have some excellent destinations at the show now with more coming on board every day,” commented Liz Agostini, International Confex event director.

North Wales is supported by Visit Wales and Venue Cymru (pictured), as well as some regionally based businesses within the conference and incentive travel market.

Stand sharers include Surf Snowdonia, Zip World, and Giant Hospitality, all of whom join an already packed International Confex. The two-day event is scheduled to open on 28 February.

“We are delighted that North Wales, with support from Visit Wales, has managed to secure a slot at Confex 2018,” commented Jim Jones, North Wales Tourism managing director. “North Wales was named number four destination to visit on the globe in 2017, by Lonely Planet, and we have a wide and diverse offer when it comes to hosting conferences and incentive travel.”

Commenting on the partnership, Justin Everley, commercial manager at Surf Snowdonia, said: “As a collective, we need to be on the shopping list of senior organisers of events and conferences. Confex 2018 provides the springboard to do this and it is great to see the region coming together to showcase the best of what North Wales has to offer.”
