Largest Conference for Summer Camp Professionals

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Tuesday, March 7, 2017) – The largest gathering of summer camp professionals in the world will come together at the Atlantic City Convention Center from March 14-16 for the American Camp Association, NY and NJ’s Tri-State Camp Conference.

Over 3,000 camp professionals, camp staff, youth development professionals, and “out of school” experiential educators will attend the conference to learn at over 180 educational sessions, find new services and products in the 300 both exhibit hall, and spend time with like minded professionals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children through the summer camp experience.

The Tri-State Camp Conference offers camp professionals educational sessions on business, programs and activities, campers, staff leadership, operations, and community. The conference also includes 250 exhibitors who showcase and sell products and services to camp professionals. Represented in the exhibit hall is everything a camp needs to run a successful program from waterfront equipment to rock climbing walls to safety programs and supplies. In the evenings, the American Camp Association offers attendees dinners and social events that camp professionals can attend to get a chance to network with conference attendees, exhibitors and speakers.

The conference will kick off Tuesday, March 14 with an opening keynote address by Susan Cain, Co-Founder of Quiet Revolution, who will discuss introverted children and how camp professionals can help these campers cultivate their talents and reach their best potential. Brandon Stanton, photographer and creator of Humans of New York, the ever popular photo series which garners over 22.5 followers on social media, will be the closing keynote speaker on Thursday, March 16. He will discuss the value of storytelling and the importance of staying connected face-to-face in the increasingly technology-driven world.
