Heavy Traffic Expected This Weekend 1/25/17-1/28/17 around the Orange County Convention Center

The PGA Merchandise Show (Wednesday, 1/25- Friday, 1/27), Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) (Wednesday, 1/25- Friday, 1/27) and the Surf Expo (Thursday, 1/26- Saturday, 1/28) will be hosting their events at the Orange County Convention Center.

WHAT:

These three events combined they will bring more than over 70,000 expected attendees in various trades and industries from around the world providing a boost to the local economy estimated at $153.5 million over this upcoming weekend. These events are not open to the general public.

WHEN:

Wednesday, January 25 – Saturday, January 28

HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS:

As expected, this large number of visitors will mean extremely heavy traffic around the Orange County Convention Center and the International Drive Resort Area on Wednesday, January 25th through Saturday, January 28. Local residents and employees are encouraged to plan accordingly by allowing for extra travel time, utilizing alternative routes, or avoiding this area altogether during this timeframe.

HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS WILL INCLUDE:

• International Drive (between Sand Lake Road and SR 528/The Beachline)

• Sand Lake Road (between Universal Boulevard and Dr. Phillips Boulevard)

• Convention Way (between Universal Boulevard and International Drive)
